The WiLL Cypha was the third car Toyota produced as part of the WiLL project. The name was coined from "cyber" and "phaeton," representing the integration of unique body styling and Toyota's G-Book network service. The Cypha came standard-equipped with an onboard G-Book terminal -- a dedicated network connection module that delivers the latest area-specific data, including information on restaurants, movies, and ongoing events. Text messages could also be sent and received. Because the information content was easy to customize and update, the car could be "trained" to learn users' preferences -- as touted in its ad campaign. The platform of the WiLL Cypha was the same as that of the Vitz. The WiLL project was a unique multi-industry venture to develop diverse products under the same brand name and shared objectives. The project lasted for some five years after its inception, during which period Toyota produced three models bearing the WiLL brand.
