The Model KC, a wartime version of the Model KB, was in production from November 1943 to March 1947. Due to the shortage of solid-drawn steel pipes, the KC abandoned the torque tube system and adopted the Hotchkiss drive instead. Its cargo bed followed the common specifications imposed on all automakers of the day. As the war dragged on and the shortage of materials became increasingly serious, much of the cabin was replaced with wood panels and the number of headlamps was reduced to one.
