The 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women

As The International Basketball Federation (FIBA)’s flagship world competition, the history of FIBA World Championship for Women can be traced back to 1953, in Santiago, Chile.
In 2014, the 17th FIBA World Championship for Women was taken place in Turkey from 27 September to 5 October.

On 5th October, the United States of America won the title of the 17th FIBA world championship for women at Istanbul, beating Spain in the final by 77-64.
