Where can I find out more about the TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute?

Opened on April 2 2005, the TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute provides a place for children and sightseers visiting Shirakawa-Go to enjoy nature-experience programs run in cooperation with environmental NPOs and the local village of Shirakawa. The programs are encompass the concepts of "Experience Nature," "Experience Traditional Culture" and "Experience Environmental Technology." The Institute allows visitors to enjoy close contact with the traditional culture of the World Heritage site of Shirakawa-Go, a village of houses built in the traditional Japanese gassho architectural style, with steep, thatched roofs situated in the abundant natural surroundings at the foot of Mount Hakusan.
