Comprehensive Approach for People, Vehicles and the Community
Toyota believes that it is essential to respond to and have a comprehensive approach for “people,” “vehicles,” and “the community” in order to solve environmental problems, such as exhaust emissions and traffic congestion, brought about by vehicles. This includes employing advanced information and communication technologies and streamlining traffic infrastructure in addition to improving the vehicles themselves and putting ecological (eco) driving into practice.
Based on this concept, we aim to reduce CO2 and create an enriched low-carbon society not only by developing fuel-efficient vehicles, but also through recommendations for fuel-efficient driving and improving traffic flow based on simulations. These simulations take into account traffic flow and recommendations in order to increase and optimize traffic capacity, easing traffic congestion and improving traffic flow.
