Front Seatbelt Pretensioner mechanism instantaneously retracts the seatbelts when a strong impact is sensed during a frontal collision, thereby quickly clinching the seatbelts.
Force limiter mechanism keeps adequate tension force on the seatbelt to help avoid the overload force applied to the chest. These devices together help reduce the seatbelt impact to the chest while reducing the distance the occupant's chest moves during a collision.

Seatbelts can support a large amount of weight, which is impossible for humans. One seatbelt can withstand a weight of 2 tons, which is equivalent to a weight of a regular passenger car.
