Toyota Community Spirit (Australia)

Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited (TMCA)

Unleashing Toyota's Community Spirit in Local Communities in Australia

TMCA (Toyota Motor Corporation Australia) developed Toyota Community Spirit in 2001 to build relationships with the Australian community and stakeholders, encourage employee and dealer participation, and deliver long-term sustainable benefits to the environment through partnerships with NGOs.

Conservation Volunteers Australia (national partnership through the Toyota Community Spirit program)

TMCA has promoted volunteer activities in collaboration with Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA), which is the largest practical conservation organization encouraging people and companies to volunteer. TMCA helped CVA develop a fully integrated Internet booking site and a Certificate in Active Volunteering, which encourages people to volunteer. CVA also holds workshop at dealerships around Australia to teach community groups how to manage volunteers.

Phillip Island (local partnership through Toyota Community Spirit)

TMCA employees have the opportunity to volunteer and work alongside park rangers at Phillip Island Nature Park in Melbourne to build homes and make improvements to the nesting habitat for penguins.

Tree Day (national sponsorship through Sales & Marketing)

An annual national activity in which dealers work with local communities to plant trees and raise awareness of their local environment.
