Toyota has launched "100 Cars for Good" initiative, a national philanthropic program that is awarding 100 cars to 100 deserving nonprofits based on votes from the public. The initiative was launched in 2011 and Toyota brought the program back in 2012 due to the success and popularity in its inaugural year.

At the first stage of 100 Cars for Good program, 500 applicants are selected and certified by an independent third-party panel of experts in the areas of philanthropy and CSR. The finalists receive a tool kit including a video camera, training toolkit and free online advertising credits to create an online profile to showcase how the organization plans to use a new Toyota car to do good in the local community.

Toyota profiles five finalists each day at Facebook application. Registered Facebook users vote daily for the nonprofits they think they can do the most good with a new vehicle. The organization with the most votes at the end of the day win a new vehicle. The voting period runs for 100 continuous days.

The winners are varied in a wide range of areas including environment, education and health & welfare and 100 cars Toyota distributes are contributing to the society in response to their needs.The past awarded institutions are featured at the following movies.
