Toyota has been conducting the Toyota Child Safety Communication program as a part of its traffic safety education activities to further spread the use of child seats and to prevent accidents caused by improper use of such seats. This program is aimed at expectant and nursing mothers or guardians and is run in connection with the Safe Kids Network Japan*, an organization dedicated to protecting the safety of children. In hands-on classes Toyota asks participants to ensure that their child seats are securely installed. Participants receive explanations from doctors as well as practical instruction from child seat instructors to help them understand the importance of child seats and the proper methods of using them.
