Collecting and Recycling

Collecting and Recycling of Bumpers

Since 1991, Toyota has been promoting the collection and recycling of bumpers that have been discarded after repair or replacement at dealers. Discarded bumpers are recycled and used as raw material for new engine under-covers and many other automotive parts.

Collecting and Recycling Lead Wheel Weights

Toyota collects and recycles lead wheel weights*. When tires are replaced at dealers, the lead wheel weights are sorted and stored to be transported to a parts dealer. The parts dealer delivers them to a recycling company. In FY2010, approximately 37.1 tons of lead wheel weights were collected and recycled.
