Humanitarian and natural disaster relief

Volunteer Disaster Relief Initiatives
(Currently "Support initiatives that utilize the human and material strengths that companies have to offer")

The Toyota Volunteer Center was established in 1993 with the aim of supporting the volunteer activities of current and former employees and their families. When a natural disaster occurs, the Center acts as an administrative organization to collect funds from officers and employees and to coordinate volunteer activities by employees to support victims and recovery in the disaster area.

When large-scale disasters occur, activities are also conducted in collaboration with Toyota Group companies and affiliates. Following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, Toyota cooperated with local governments, non-profit organizations, and other groups to carry out volunteer recovery support programs in the Kesen District of Iwate Prefecture on behalf of the Toyota Group and continued those programs the following year and thereafter.

Humanitarian and Disaster Relief (As from 2006)

Toyota offers relief toward disaster occurs throughout the world.
